It looked like a party dress for a 6 year old girl. He was right in that not every pregnant woman wants to wear a lycra bandage dress but he should've kept his remarks to "the client wanted something classic" and then shut up. She looked fantastic walking in slow motion on the runway. The judges were hard on Sergio but I thought his dress was elegant.
Just like the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower and Marilyn Monroe have inspired quite a few to shoot for their dreams. I just look at them as making their steps towards making their dreams a reality. So, I can't knock that person in the bar that you speak of. So, I'm not surprised that he (or others) will become what they want to be. But finally! I made it to Paris and it's indescribable the feelings I had when I first visited that city and that pretty much feels that same way every time I go there! Luckily, I get there rather often. There were the costs and fears issues, etc. But, my dream was always to see Paris and I worked and worked hard to go to Paris (keep in mind that people travel to the city as if it's a cab ride across town) and I learned french, ate french food, read (rather looked at the pictures) of french magazines, etc. My family wasn't wealthy and a nice vacation for us was traveling to Florida somewhere. I fell in love with the city through books. I'll use myself as an example I don't know why but I fell in love with Paris. I believe I understand what you mean R87 but I'm not going to knock anyone's dream and whatever points of inspiration they get them from in order to motivate them. The ones who have artwork of the Eiffel Tower or Marilyn Monroe at home. He reminds me of those FASHION queens you see at the bars in loafers and bedazzled blazers. Just not a fan of his work or the pieces he designs for himself.
For some reason, I just have a suspicion that he and Shavi are going to team up at some point and do a collaboration collection. Marquis, is another one that's going to do well by this competition-IMHO. IMHO, she really made the show even more enjoyable to watch because of her attitude.
It's just her sheer joy, gratefulness, and appreciation, for having risen this far that even elevates her designs. Yet, I believe that Nancy will do well by this competition. But, I don't think that she's going to make it. I would like to see a whole collection done by Nancy too. I could see how a CFDA mentorship could move her and her business to its next level. Therefore, there's a very good chance that she will win this thing. But, she'll probably make the finals-based on the other work that I've seen by her. I have reached the point that I'm tired of just seeing her. However, her versatility was not/has not been demonstrated on PR. I actually recently took some time and went over to Victoria's IG. There's nothing original about what he does. He was never a buzzcut military clone queen. I'm sure he knows that his look is ironic. Geoffrey is working through his issues with his designs and his personal presentation. Cyndi at least consistently works for the community. It does seem pathetic when you see it play out in real life, but I'm sure that Lauper hears that she saved a young gay life a hundred times a day. And there are many gay men who post here everyday who attached themselves to some female singer or actress when they were younger. Geoffrey's crazy over Cyndi Lauper was sincere. They remain sequestered but in a different hotel. Even after being eliminated they are not allowed to go home of course. She's 64 and those are long days they put in. Nancy is a doll, and probably the next to go. They do all roll their eyes at Sergio, but how could you not? The contestants genuinely like each other and support one another. Production doesn't assign them a storyline like they do on Drag Race and ANTM. One of the things that I like about the new Project Runway is that they don't cast people to fight with each other and be snarky. I'm actually surprised that more people don't melt down on these tight time frame 16 hour work day reality shows. Geoffrey is in the top 6 bitches, and if Victoria keeps it up, he's going to make it to fashion week.
